About auto-reset chips:

Refilling 81N ARC (auto reset chip) cartridges does not reset the ink levels. Ink levels can only be reset (to full) - by removing cartridge from printer momentarily or powering printer off - when printer displays 'ink out' status (for that colour). Removing 81N cartridges or powering printer off at any other time should not change the Status Monitor ink values.
