About auto-reset chips:

Refilling ARC (auto reset chip) ink tanks does not reset the ink levels. Ink tank levels can only be reset (to full) - by removing an ink tank from printer momentarily or powering printer off - when printer displays 'ink out' status (for that ink tank). Removing ink tanks or powering printer off at any other time should not change the ink monitor values.
Please note this can vary from one printer model to the next as well as printer driver version and the operating system used.
