About auto-reset chips:

Refilling ARC ink tanks does not reset the ink levels. Ink tank levels can only be reset (to full) - by removing ink tank from printer momentarily - when printer displays 'ink out' condition for that tank. Removing ink tanks any other time will not change the ink monitor values.
