Late model Epson (genuine) ink cartridges are not suitable for refilling. Epson have re-designed all the recent ink cartridges and ink level chips - to make Epson cartridge refilling as difficult as possible. If you plan to refill original (genuine) Epson T0731~734, T1051~1054 (73N), T0751~754, T0811~816 (81N), T111~116, T1031~1034 (103), T1321~1324 (132), T1331~1334 (133), T1381~1384 (138), T1401~T1404 (140), T0821~826 82N, T1121~1126, T0870~879. T1071~1074 etc cartridges...you need some refillable ink cartridges!

Refillable ink cartridges are designed specifically for re-inking. Refilling them is as straight forward as removing a rubber plug, squirting in a syringe full of ink and fitting the plug back in. Doesn't get much easier...
Refillable cartridges featured on this page come fitted with auto-resetting (ARC) ink level chips, to deal with the Epson ink monitor issues. You don't need a chip resetter or any software to reset the ink levels. ARC chip(s) reset automatically when a cartridge is removed from the printer and fitted back in. All the reset technology is built into the chip itself.
Auto-reset refillable cartridges/chips are now available for many Epson printer models, including C58, C79, C90, C110, Photo 2100, 2200, 2400, CX3900, CX4900, CX5500, CX5900, CX7300, CX8300, CX9300, R270, R290, R380, R390, RX590, RX610, Photo 1400, Photo 1410, Photo R800, R1800, R1900, as well as all T, TX and some latest N and NX models (see below).
Note: Refillable cartridges are also available with manual reset chips (MRC) for many Epson printer models here. MRC cartridges are identical to ARC, only the chips are different. Chip re-setter is required for resetting MRC cartridges/chips.

Refillable cartridges for Epson have changed a lot in the last few years. Although they look similar to the early versions, all recent refillable cartridges use completely different internal design. They are now self priming, so refilling is even easier. The latest version of refillable ARC cartridges/chips come with a little battery powering each chip.

All above mentioned refill friendly cartridges are fitted with self powered ARC chips. This is the latest development in auto-reset chips to combat most recent Epson cartridge recognition updates.
There is a chip resetter built into each cartridge chip - including a tiny battery power supply. The latest Epson printer cartridge recognition protocols can detect auto-reset chips, so traditional ARC chips don't work in these printers. And for some unknown reason, the chip makers have decided to build the resetter in, rather than use a traditional resetter and manual-reset chips combo.
Note: This is brand new technology and there is not much info available at the moment. Consequently don't expect accurate answers - if you have questions regarding battery life etc.

Ink chip issues...
Chip recognition is becoming more of a problem with late model Epson printers. As cartridge recognition gets harder and harder to crack with every new model, latest auto-reset chips are much more complex and more susceptible to problems. There's no getting around this...
Note: All cartridges listed on this page are fitted with latest version chips and should work fine in all Epson printer models mentioned above (and more). But...due to periodic chip firmware changes by Epson, it's difficult to 100% guarantee that they will work in other models (even if using the same ink cartridges), or even in later releases of the same printer models. If you do experience any cartridge recognition, or any other problem with refillable cartridges/chips, please contact us. There's usually a simple solution.
Auto-reset cartridges MUST BE FITTED AS A SET... will not work mixed with compatible or original Epson cartridges! Fitting ARC and Epson cartridges at the same time can damage the chips on all cartridges..!!!!!!
