If you print a lot, consider converting your printer to continuous ink. You will enjoy much lower running costs, as well as the convenience of not having to replace or refill the ink cartridges - when empty.
Another advantage of using CISS (over replacement cartridges) is the wide choice of ink. We can supply any Epson CISS with premium dye or pigment ink (read more) or specialty (archival black & white ink, heat transfer, high temperature, sublimation etc) ink. Whatever you print - there is InkBank ink perfect for the job.
Note: If you are comparing CISS to refilling ink cartridges, you can expect the running costs to be similar. Weigh up the initial CISS cost against the convenience and the time you will save by having CISS.

Consider buying the printer + CISS + ink bundle. We can ship complete Epson CIS printers, with your choice of ink, primed and print tested. All you have to do is plug the printer in, remove some transport plugs from the CISS reservoirs...and click "Print". Obviously this option costs more than buying a CISS kit and fitting it yourself, but at least you know it will work this way.
If you already have a suitable printer and are keen to set it up yourself, typical Epson CISS installation is pretty simple:
remove existing ink cartridges from printer
cut away section of the ink carriage using hacksaw blade or cutting pliers
fit the CISS cartridges in print-head
stick down a couple of self adhesive tube support brackets and adjust the CISS tubing length
replace "transport" plugs in reservoir bottles with supplied air filters
It's not as easy as fitting a new set of cartridges, but you only have to do it once...
InkBank CISS features...
All InkBank Epson CISS kits feature purpose built CISS cartridges for years of trouble free service. New generation CISS systems sold here are stable and don't have to be used daily to stay in prime. Latest design reservoir bottles feature a balance chamber and multi-filter system for most precise and reliable ink delivery - at any ink level. InkBank CISS never clog or leak if set-up, maintained and used correctly.
Epson CISS systems come fitted with latest version of auto-reset ink chips and the software ink levels reset automatically. Some late model CISS have to be powered off and on to reset the chips, others have a reset switch attached to the CISS cartridges, which has to be pressed every time the printer software indicates an empty cartridge. Other than that, printer operation is exactly the same as pre CISS, only much cheaper.
